From the first lesson to horse shows, every riding student is great to get to work with. Everyone's goals are different, everyone's temperament and horse is different, and that's part of the magic. I've worked with some go-getters that wouldn't believe you if you told them it couldn't be done. Some of those people were 11, and some were 61.
Featured below are some great people!
Lacey came in as a total beginner at age 10 and worked so hard that within a year she was riding 2' jumps confidently and flew up through the levels after that. Hard work earned that, and she was a Working Student, too.
Peggy didn't start riding until she was 60 years old and diligently put in the practice to not only learn to ride, jump, and show but to own her own young warmblood gelding and show him, too.
Kelly was a teacher by day and a high-flying, hard-working woman who focused just as hard on her dressage as her jumping, and it showed.
Meg was ever so fierce, and she was absolutely going to get it done. Her little mare had the exact same attitude and they were a great pair that is still together many years later.
Annie worked hard and had a dare-devil attitude, especially when she got her own first, fiesty pony that she took up to 2'9 with a vengeance.
And Laura had a great determination to also get stuff done. She was going to work hard, go faster and higher, and do more and better. She's carried that attitude through the years and it shows with the many horses and students she has now brought up through the levels, too.
Horse riding, showing, learning to jump horses, learning dressage, taking riding lessons is all a great journey and you'll learn more about yourself every step of the way.
Thank you, thank you, thank you to all of the students I've gotten to work with in the past. <3
